"How Much Joy Can You Stand?"

Creativity Training for Absolutely Anyone

(Visit Suzanne Falter-Barns in the TBE Bookstore)

"I figure what it all comes down to is faith. Have you got enough faith in yourself to make a break for it and run with your dreams? And do you have the courage to ask for, and get, the support you need?

The amount of joy in your life equals your commitment to your dream. So ask yourself–how much joy can you stand?"

--Suzanne Falter Barns--

Author Suzanne Falter-Barns helps audiences re-ignite their creative spark, even in the face of burn-out, rejection, and total bog down. She helps men and women reconnect with creativity they'd forgotten they had. The result is pure inspiration–listeners leave her talks ready for action!

A former cabaret singer, novelist, magazine writer and workshop leader, Suzanne Falter-Barns is a smart, funny speaker who has learned about creativity first hand. Using her own hard-won experience, along with anecdotes from history, business and the arts, she helps listeners reconnect with their passion and innate creativity with points like these:

Why talent does and doesn't matter
     Vulnerability equals power
Intuition really IS a reliable guide
How and why to make time for your soul
     Feeling stupid is good
     Why failure isn't necessarily failure
     Creating is not a test–it's a gift

Suzanne also offers hands-on exercises that really make participants stop and think, and get in touch with their own creative resources. Her talks and workshops are not only energizing, they provide key truths for a life well-lived and a job well-done.

Suzanne Falter-Barns is the author of How Much Joy Can You Stand? How to Push Past Your Fears and Create Your Dreams, which was a Book-of-the-Month Club Dual Main Selection, excerpted in Fitness Magazine. Ms. Falter-Barns leads workshops on creativity across the United States and has published articles and essays in The New York Times, Self, Fitness, New Woman, Parent's, and Prevention, among others. She has consulted as writer with the Creative Services Departments of Hearst, Conde Nast, New York Times, Meredith, Gruner & Jahr, and many major advertising agencies including Young & Rubicam, Ted Bates, and AC&R. Suzanne has been a columnist for New Age Magazine and starred as a singer/songwriter in New York City's cabaret scene. She has taught creative writing at NYU's School for Continuing Education and published a novel for Random House, Doin' the Box Step.
